Procedures
Every case is planned around your anatomy, your risk profile, and what will give you the best long-term result — not the quickest operation.
Coronary bypass performed without stopping the heart or using the heart–lung machine — reducing stroke risk and speeding recovery, particularly in older patients and those with kidney disease.
Repair is preferred wherever the valve allows it — preserving your own tissue, avoiding lifelong blood thinners, and giving better long-term function than replacement.
Aneurysm and dissection repair, including root replacement — time-critical work that depends on an experienced team being ready at short notice.
Poor pump function, previous cardiac surgery, diabetes, or advanced age — cases that are often turned away elsewhere are a substantial part of this practice.
The approach
Heart surgery is frightening, and most of that fear comes from not knowing what will happen. Consultations here are built around explaining the decision in plain language — to you and to your family.
Surgical education
The Sarju OT series documents real operations for surgical trainees and colleagues — the technical detail of beating-heart grafting, valve repair, and complex reconstruction, narrated step by step. The short extracts below are drawn from those films.
These extracts show live surgery. Nothing plays automatically — each clip opens only when you choose to view it.
Patients
I am grateful to Dr Sarju for the great job he did with my mother-in-law. I am always confident with his expertise, confidence and compassionate care.
The CABG was successful and recovery so far is very smooth. The team under him is very cooperative and respectful.
I have always recommended him since 2019 and will keep on doing that. You keep your great work up, Doctor.

Common questions
Where I operate
Consultations, surgery and post-operative care all happen here.
Bring your angiography and recent reports. You will leave the appointment understanding your options — including whether surgery is the right choice at all.
For a surgical opinion please carry your angiography CD or report, your echo report and your current prescriptions. Operating days occasionally move a clinic — telephone before travelling rather than arriving without an appointment.
